Nima Delnavazi, teacher and tar player, has received the silver medal for his ‘Ray to Tisfound’ album in the latest edition of Global Music Awards in the US.
Delnavazi is considered one of the youngest talents in contemporary Persian music. He comes from a musician family and traditional training. He also started Tehran Music Conservatory and started his academic education specifically in playing ‘tar’ when he was 12 and received his BA at the University of Music in Tehran.
He published a solo album called (Ray to Tisfound) in 2016 which was nominated as the best soloist and composer at Fajr International Music Festival 2017.
He was selected to play solo at Fajr International Music Festival in 2016 which was warmly welcomed by the audience.
Established in 2011, the Global Music Awards is a well-known international music competition that celebrates independent musicians. Each year, Global Music Awards receives hundreds of entries from around the world.
